Founder’s Biography
Dr. Orapak Suwanapakdee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Management from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), one of the world’s leading institutions. Additionally, she earned a certificate in Web Programming from Boston University and a Ph.D. in Social, Economic, and Political Leadership from Rangsit University.
Dr. Orapak Suwanapakdee is the founder of Fanrong Language School (繁荣学校), an online school dedicated to enhancing Chinese language skills for Thai students. With over 10 years of experience as a pioneer in social media and digital marketing in Thailand, she is widely recognized as a #1 best-selling author on SE-ED’s rankings for her book “Marketing on Facebook: The Application Guide,” which showcases her expertise in leveraging social media for business success.
In addition to her roles in education and authorship, Dr. Orapak is the founder of the MIT OCW Club, in collaboration with MIT, aimed at creating free educational opportunities for students in Thailand. She is currently pursuing studies in Business Chinese at Beijing Language and Culture University to enhance her international business communication skills.
In the corporate sector, Dr. Orapak serves as a director of Country Group Development Public Company Limited, a leading firm managing world-class hotels such as Capella and Four Seasons. In the past, she also held the position of Commissioner on Finance, Banking, and Financial Institutions in the House of Representatives.
In the field of mass communication, Dr. Orapak has extensive experiences as a radio host and commentator on IT topics for several radio stations and TV stations, including FM101, FM96.5, and Channel 5. Her expertise in technology and digital marketing has made her a prominent figure in these domains.
Her inspiration for founding Fanrong Language School stemmed from her personal journey of learning Chinese as an adult. She shared her motivation:
“I started learning Chinese at the age of 44 or 45 and wanted to create a quality online school. After spending a significant amount on learning Chinese with limited time, I eventually succeeded in online learning with Chinese teachers. This inspired me to build a school that helps others achieve similar success.”
Dr. Orapak is also dedicated to raising the standard of Chinese language education in Thailand, with a focus on addressing common challenges faced by students, such as issues with grammar, pinyin, and communication skills. She explained:
“Most Thai students struggle with grammar, pinyin, and the ability to communicate as they desire. I want to create a school that solves these problems and sets a new standard for Chinese language education in Thailand.”
Dr. Orapak’s goal is to leverage information technology to enhance Chinese language education in Thailand. She envisions providing Thai learners with access to in-depth Chinese language studies and enabling them to develop high-quality communication skills.
